„Dear colleagues, Act like a man… Man up! Always be tough, be in control… Never show fear, never show uncertainty. Be a wage earner not a caregiver… Are there any men in our society that have never heard any of this? We know that hardened concepts of masculinity and the socialization of men is one of the factors contributing to higher rates of suicide, depression, health issues and violence in male populations. So for all the men still learning and growing and for gender equality, diversity and inclusion to become a reality in our world and organizations, we have to understand how the definition of masculinity impacts men’s and women’s lives, work and organizations. We would like to invite you on 17 November 2021 to join our online-event „Story of Masculinity – Changing the Male Culture Narrative – How it Affects Gender Equality“ as well as to participate in the workshop that will follow it: „Critical Masculinity – The Dropout-Program For Onboarding Men“.
